SAFETY STATEMENT

Rick's Trucking & Contracting (RTC) is committed to providing their clients with the highest quality of service. In order to accomplish this goal the safety of our employees, contractors, and the general public is of utmost importance. It is the company’s commitment that: 

- it will take every reasonable precaution to protect the health and safety of its workers;

- it will comply with legislation requirements;

- all work locations and equipment are maintained in a safe condition;

- hazard analysis, communication and training will be provided to our workers so that they have the knowledge and skills to perform their work efficiently and with reduced risk. 

It is the duty and responsibility of every employee to actively participate in making the work environment safe and productive. All employees must comply with the safety standards set by the company as well as all relevant government regulations. If any employee feels they are in danger or their job is too dangerous, then it their responsibility to stop what they are doing at once. Management will ensure that all employees are properly trained, and all appropriate safety procedures are followed. “Safety First” is to be promoted in all our operations. Contractors and sub-contractors are responsible for their own health and safety and that of others in the work place. Contractors are to follow our health and safety policies as well as all applicable health and safety legislation. Our goal is a healthy, injury free, productive working environment for our employees and for others around us. Our commitment is to the safety of our employees. Rick's Trucking & Contracting (RTC) is committed to reducing its impact on the environment. We will strive to improve our environmental performance over time and to initiate additional projects and activities that will further reduce our impacts on the environment. Our commitment to the environment extends to our customers, our staff, and the community in which we operate. We are committed to: 

• Comply with all applicable environmental regulations; 

• Prevent pollution whenever possible; 

• Train all of our staff on our environmental program and empower them to contribute and participate; 

• Communicate our environmental commitment and efforts to our customers, staff, and our community; and 

• Continually improve over time by striving to measure our environmental impacts and by setting goals to reduce these impacts each year
